3 new things I learned in 2019

At the beginning of 2020 I took some moments to look back at last year and realised what a year it has been in terms of learning. Besides my usual hustle-and-bustle of designing prints and patterns, I made sure to try new things. And it wasn’t really that I had to make sure – the… Read More

Albania Sketchbook

Hello from Tirana, the capital of the country the Albanians themselves call Shqipëria! We are starting our summer trip around the country in this laid-back and more-modern-than-one-would-think city and get a first taste of the feel, food, people – and scenery. This quick sketch is from our funicular ride up the Dajti Mountain with spectacular… Read More

Licensed Designs for 24Bottles

The Italian company 24Bottles licensed these two designs for their sustainable steel bottles, one tropical print for the ‘Blossom’ urban bottle and one animal print for the ‘Cheetah’ clima bottle. That’s a stylish way to reduce plastic waste and stay hydrated.

Licensed Designs for Plum Practicewear

I am very happy to show you three designs of mine that became products by American gymnastics activewear brand Plum Practicewear in 2018. ‘Icebreaker’ became part of their winter collection, ‘Waikiki’ was in their summer Coastal Craze collection and ‘Jubilee’ turned out to be a tropical bestseller from their Back to School collection.

#the100dayproject 2018 Days 51-100

I really had fun with this year’s project! And I really made a page every day. I loved seeing nature further unfold in May and June for the second part of the project and tried a couple of new techniques. Hand painted watercolour was my go-to-technique, but I also tried tighter illustration styles and some… Read More

Licensed Tropical Design for The Planner Society

I have the privilege of being used to seeing my designs on apparel and activewear (even though that great feeling never gets old), but seeing a design on stationary was a first-timer for me. The Planner Society licensed my banana leaves print for their ‘Palm Springs Kit’. I love this whole tropical-plants-on-green-vibe! And isn’t cute seeing… Read More

#the100DayProject 2018 Days 1-50

It’s the third year in a row I am taking part in the worldwide #100dayproject. After last year’s digital explorations on the iPad I went back to paper and handmade. I chose a topic I wanted to further practice and that are an eternal classic – flowers. And I even though I love them and… Read More

Print Collaboration with Happycloth

Happycloth is a recently launched Greek company producing top-quality handmade silk scarves. I coudn’t be more proud when I found out that they chose 12 designs out of 45,000 textile patterns, and two of them were mine, ‘Leopink’ and ‘Ditsy’. What makes them furthermore special is that the company decided to sell each scarf with… Read More

#the100dayproject, 27 Days later

Today I am 40 days into #the100dayproject so I thought it is time for a little recap. The iPad Pro has now become one of my daily working tools and it feels totally normal to use it every day. For Patternmash’s weekend project Terrazzo I decided to do it entirely on the iPad Pro with… Read More

‘Joy of the Universe’ is ready to be flown out ‘Joy of the Universe’ is ready to be flown out into a new home on this earth 💫

The painting is a collaboration of artists Doris Reske and Cathrin Gressieker.

'Joy of the Universe' is a meditation on our interests in meditation, quantum physics and the endless possibilities of the universe.

In our ongoing experimental and intuitive CoLab painting process we paint on large canvases, take turns and the layering can take up to a couple of months, or even years, until a finished piece emerges and takes form.

This painting is 40x60cm in size and it is sold through our online agency @saatchiart for €722, you can find the link in my bio linktree.

Happy, healthy, creative, adventurous and magical Happy, healthy, creative, adventurous and magical 2023 to you 💫

I retreated on an island with my family for the new year and spent my days with walks on the beach, meditation, yoga, dancing under the stars, watching sunrises and sunsets, sleeping and a bit of sketchbooking.

For 2023 I am aiming to put more JUNGLE into my life and I am excited to see how this will unfold. Let’s start with this jungle print for South African yoga brand @shaktishantiyogawear
